This was a cute place with excellent service and warm food. The bowl of Reren signature lamen we ordered was tasty — the noodles were soft but springy (exactly the chew-slurp ratio you'd want), the broth wasn't too heavy, and the tea egg was a burst of flavor. The pork belly wasn't as melt-in-your-mouth as some other places, but overall this was a hearty bowl for a very decent price. PS. Not to call anyone out, but I do believe lamen (lamian) is Chinese and does not mean ramen 🙂

I love this place. I get Grandma's beef pancake and the Reren Signature Lamen. 2019 update: Haven't seen Grandma's beef pancake on the menu but the signature is still great. I discovered the Pepper shrimp which were very good. It takes a slight wait for the dumplings as they are made to order. Still love it!
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, ordering was fine over the phone! And pick up is fine too. The ChengeDu Spicy Wontons are SO good, I wish I ordered 2 orders so I could eat it all. The passion fruit bubble tea was very delicious, as well as the mango! Speedy service, great packaging of the food, and I’m satisfied overall about my experience. Staff was very nice after I called multiple times asking about flavors of bubble tea (because I forgot them the first time they told me). Super great food and I’m really glad to have tried it!
Reren is an unassuming restaurant nestled in DC's Chinatown. I originally was slated to go to another restaurant in the area, but they actually weren't open when I was to meet someone for lunch, but Reren was! I came right as it opened, so there wasn't anybody else in the restaurant, but the staff were courteous and attentive to my questions and in general service. I ordered the Signature Lamen, which was certainly delicious, as well as some Spicy Wontons that definitely had a lovely kick! I also ordered some boba and utilized the check-in offer here on Yelp, which let me take a drink to-go! This place is competitvely priced, and their portions are well-sized that I almost couldn't finish everything, eventhough I wanted to! I'd totally come back again.
Visited here during the Fourth of July. We were on our way to watch the firework at the Mall and came across this gem. It has a great review and we decided to give it a try. Their XLB and pancake were probably one of the best ones I had in a while, especially we had it To Go (the only way they serve). We walked to a small park (about 10 mins) and it still holds up pretty well. Can't wait to try it again once it allows for indoor dining again. I feel like eating it fresh there will give us an even better experience!
This place is definitely a most try! First, I want to start off with the customer service, everyone was so welcoming. There is no dine in, we were aware that DC closed all dine in. Dan dan noodles- Very savory, loved the dan dan sauce and the egg. Texture of the noodles was very soft. Fire balls- Very filling, reminded of mozzarella sticks! Spicy Wontons- They tasted fresh, not as spicy as I would want it to be, but still delicious! Bourbon chicken- the sauce was amazing, bit spicy but a perfect spicy! Could have more broccoli but definitely more than enough chicken! White rice came with this.
